The difference between a hardware guy and a software guy:

Here's the difference between a hardware guy and a software guy:
I told a hardware designer that I had purchased the Leapfrog Pen. This is an actual pen that uses a built-in camera to record what I write.
"Have you taken it apart to see how it works?" he asked.
I replied, "If I took it apart, it would break."

I think these are neat, but I doubt the text translation could manage my dismal handwriting. I sometimes cannot read it myself.

But I am a hardware guy (a technician, really), and yeah; I probably would take it apart. Most things I get back together, but I do have the occasional miserable failure.

Patrick,
The trick is to learn the handwriting that Leapfrog can read. I can do it, so I think that most people can.
